About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical research support for the Penn Innovation in Suicide Prevention Research Center (INSPIRE), funded by the National Institute of Mental Health
  • Work across the Administrative Core, Methods Core, and multiple research projects
  • Develop study materials
  • Recruit and consent participants
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection
  • Perform data entry
  • Prepare initial drafts of Institutional Review Board, Data Safety and Monitoring Board, and National Institutes of Health documents
  • Maintain and nurture positive working relationships with community partners and study participants
  • Provide administrative support for INSPIRE operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience in human subjects research or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Previous experience working in community mental health settings, suicide prevention, and/or implementation science is desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is preferred
  • Proficiency in online survey/database platforms such as REDCap and Qualtrics is preferred
  • Proficiency in qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo and Dedoose is preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, including daily tasks and longer-term deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Comfortable communicating with diverse audiences
  • Background checks may be required after a conditional job offer
  • Position is contingent upon funding
