  • Utilize UGS/DDE and EDS computer programs to verify Medicare and Medicaid eligibility
  • Research possible secondary payers
  • Prepare insurance verification forms and accurately enter insurance information into Homecare Homebase (HCHB)
  • Prepare patient copayment estimates for clinicians and notify clinicians of preauthorized visits
  • Enter visit authorizations into HCHB and maintain audit systems for additional authorization needs
  • Report unauthorized visits to the supervisor when applicable
  • Track True Blue authorizations for recertification
  • Track hospice recertifications
  • Submit CHAPS reporting for Home Health and Hospice
