About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary contact for IT service requests and technical support
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Windows devices, Microsoft 365, printers, mobile devices, and business applications
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, access management, and equipment deployment
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Assist with Microsoft Intune device management and endpoint compliance activities
- Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID user administration
- Assist users with virtual desktop and remote access technologies
- Monitor routine operational processes, including backup and system monitoring activities
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, endpoint security practices, and multi-factor authentication
- Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles
- Participate in technology projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide IT support across Pennichuck Water Works Inc., a New Hampshire water utility
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar technical support role
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments and Microsoft 365 applications
- Familiarity with Active Directory account administration and endpoint management tools
- Experience using ticketing systems and documenting support resolutions
- Industry certifications are a plus but not required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, endpoint security, and IT best practices
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous learning
