About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end first-line transaction monitoring and fraud operations for business customers
  • Ensure alert triage, investigations, customer outreach, and escalations are completed in accordance with Compliance and Risk policies and SLAs
  • Translate AML/CFT and fraud policies into operational procedures, decision trees, and analyst playbooks
  • Review complex or high-risk alerts and oversee post-onboarding fraud cases
  • Ensure escalations, customer complaints, and law-enforcement requests have complete, auditable records
  • Implement QA and reporting frameworks and monitor operational and risk indicators
  • Support Compliance during control testing, audits, and regulatory reviews
  • Recruit, onboard, and lead the transaction monitoring and fraud analyst team
  • Establish performance and capacity frameworks covering SLAs, productivity, quality, backlogs, false-positive rates, and hiring needs
  • Partner with Product and Tech to improve monitoring, fraud, and back-office workflows and prioritize automation
  • Deliver operating procedures, playbooks, and escalation rules before go-live
  • Establish capacity and hiring plans and validate alert queues, evidence collection, account measures, and second-line handovers
  • Launch first-line monitoring for new customers with trained coverage, agreed SLAs, and documented QA controls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in transaction monitoring, fraud, or broader financial-crime operations within a regulated financial-services environment
  • Proven experience leading and developing an operational team responsible for alert queues or investigations
  • Strong understanding of first-line alert handling: triage, investigation, typologies, escalation, and the distinction between a fraud case and an AML case
  • Good working knowledge of French and European AML/CFT expectations, including ACPR and TRACFIN requirements
  • Experience translating policy into SOPs, decision trees, and analyst guidance
  • Experience working with Product or Tech on workflow or tooling changes
  • Ability to use operational metrics to manage quality, backlogs, and capacity
  • Ability to make structured, well-documented decisions under pressure and communicate complex cases clearly
  • Comfortable building operations in a greenfield environment
  • Fluency in French and English is mandatory
  • Based in France, with a strong preference for Paris
  • Regular on-site presence in Paris is expected; partial remote work is possible
  • Eligible to work in France; visa sponsorship is not currently available
