About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, support, and develop four Product Designers and one first-time Design Manager
- Coach the Design Manager on management practices, team development, and high performance
- Set design direction for Financial Services and translate product and business priorities into an experience strategy
- Improve the quality and consistency of customer experiences across the Financial Services journey
- Ensure coherence with the broader SME product
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and other stakeholders on acquisition, activation, conversion, and revenue objectives
- Guide designers through complex product challenges and strengthen craft, strategic thinking, customer understanding, and measurable impact
- Represent Financial Services in cross-functional Brand and Design System initiatives
- Contribute to shared standards while addressing the track’s specific needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience leading Product Design teams in complex, fast-moving product environments
- Experience managing individual contributors and design managers
- Experience coaching a first-time design manager
- Ability to define design direction and connect customer experience decisions with product strategy and business outcomes
- Track record improving quality, usability, and coherence of end-to-end digital experiences
- Understanding of design contributions to acquisition, activation, conversion, and revenue
- Ability to use qualitative and quantitative insights to guide decisions
- Ability to deliver measurable results within short cycles while maintaining long-term experience quality and customer trust
- Ability to navigate complex product ecosystems and balance local needs with broader platform consistency
- Ability to partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Brand, Marketing, and senior stakeholders
- Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback and develop designers
- Fluency in French and English
- Experience with financial services or another regulated, trust-sensitive product environment is a plus, but not essential
