About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand and frame user and product problems
- Lead significant technical deliveries within the squad, from problem definition through production operation
- Build reliable, scalable, user-focused products
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues using monitoring, observability, and data analysis tools
- Design and evolve robust, performant, scalable, and reliable solutions
- Bring expertise in a major part of the technology stack and become autonomous on high-impact initiatives
- Improve engineering practices through code reviews, pair programming, documentation, RFCs, and AI-assisted development
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, provide feedback, and improve technical skills and ways of working
- Collaborate with other teams and communicate progress, risks, decisions, and results
- Contribute to the tech community through technical content, onboarding, interviews, incident resolution, initiatives, and meetups
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React (at least 7-8 years)
- Strong product and business understanding
- Experience solving complex problems
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly
- Collaborative approach and ownership of reliable, pragmatic solutions
- Ability to work remotely from a country of residence in Europe
- Residence within a maximum time difference of two hours from the CET time zone
- Right to work in the European Union
- No visa sponsorship available
- Ruby on Rails experience
- React and TypeScript experience
