About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Bridge business challenges and code by converting ambiguity into measurable, working results
Build and own automation workflows for guest journeys, message drafting and review, pricing, reporting, and separate operational engines
Develop agent systems including prompts, tool usage, structured output, evaluation, observability, and cost management
Build end-to-end integrations with webhooks, external systems, actions, idempotency, reconciliation, and observability
Deploy first production versions and measure their impact
Write specifications, decide what not to build, deploy after one review, and operate shipped work
Own the end-to-end pre-arrival flow from building house rules through guest check-in
Collaborate daily with the CEO and report to the founding engineer

Requirements

What you’ll need

Two or more concrete examples of problem → decision → shipped solution → measured impact, with numbers
Hands-on experience building, shipping, and operating solutions
Experience with external APIs, webhooks, idempotency, and reconciliation
Experience using AI engineering tools, including agents, structured output, evaluation, and identifying incorrect AI output
Clear written English and ability to communicate complex ideas to CEOs and engineers
Experience with Node, TypeScript, and React
Mid- to Senior-level experience
Ability to work with ambiguity, make reasonable assumptions, and take ownership of outcomes
