About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Hire, onboard and lead an initial team of four analysts, then build the team as more work moves to India
- Own the transfer of recurring work from US teams to India by planning handoffs, running shadowing and parallel runs, and approving process readiness
- Establish team operating practices, including process runbooks, close and reporting calendars, quality checks, review steps and service expectations
- Own the quality and timeliness of team output
- Review work, resolve issues, and report on accuracy and on-time delivery
- Partner with Corporate Finance, Commissions and Strategic Finance leaders to prioritize work and resolve escalations
- Work with HR, IT and Legal on onboarding, system access, data security and employment logistics
- Coach and develop analysts, set goals, and build career paths
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities with the platform automation team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of finance or finance operations experience, including 4+ years leading a team
- Experience setting up or running a shared services, finance operations or global capability center team
- Strong grounding in accounting and financial reporting
- US GAAP familiarity
- Experience with ERP, planning and reporting tools such as NetSuite, Adaptive Planning or similar
- Advanced Excel
- Track record of documenting processes and transferring work between teams or locations
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Comfort working with US-based leaders
- Degree in finance, accounting or a related field
- CA, CMA, CPA or MBA preferred
- Experience in software or SaaS finance
- Experience with commissions, sales compensation or revenue-related reporting
- Experience with Adaptive Planning, Power BI, Salesforce or CaptivateIQ
- AI fluency appropriate to the role and level, including responsible use of AI tools, sound judgment, and adherence to company AI governance and security policy standards
