About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement product components across the stack, from Java back-end services to TypeScript-based front-end user interfaces
Apply AI-assisted and agentic tooling across design, coding, testing, code review, and delivery
Build and operate LLM-based features, including agentic workflows and RAG pipelines, with attention to reliability, evaluation, and cost
Deliver complex projects by defining structure in uncertain areas, identifying discrete deliverables, and coordinating with other teams
Respond to time-sensitive issues across software modules, determine root causes, and improve feature robustness
Contribute to best practices and help peers adopt AI-assisted development practices
Assess issue impact and drive systematic improvements
Work with engineering teams, product management, sales, and customers to understand requirements and develop solutions
Work with support, the field, and customers to collect data and develop solutions or workarounds for complex customer problems
Work across multiple customer-impacting projects in a fast-paced agile environment
Own the quality and operation of shipped software

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience building enterprise products using Java, with hands-on experience with industry best practices
Hands-on full-stack capability, including TypeScript and a modern framework such as React or Angular
Experience integrating front-end applications with back-end services and APIs
Hands-on experience applying AI-assisted and agentic tooling across design, coding, testing, code review, and delivery
Track record of measurably improving team productivity or quality through AI-driven development
Experience designing, building, and running LLM-based applications beyond prototypes
Experience with agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, tool/function calling, and orchestration using LangGraph, AutoGen, or in-house frameworks
Experience analyzing, debugging, and diagnosing complex software systems, including performance, scale, operating-system interactions, and multithreaded interactions
Proficiency with efficient algorithm design, data structures, and design patterns
Ability to provide technical guidance to peers and junior engineers
Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards
Ability to collaborate with functional leaders and provide technical input on design and delivery
Ability to improve processes, tools, and implementation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle critical high-priority customer issues, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
Prior experience working with teams in the US or other countries
Minimum undergraduate college/university degree in computer science or related experience
Nice to have: shell scripting or Python experience
Nice to have: Unix/Linux/Mainframe systems experience
Nice to have: understanding of operating systems, databases, and file systems
Nice to have: security, performance, monitoring, and scalability experience
Nice to have: web application security expertise, including certificates, ciphers, SSL/TLS protocols, and related concepts
Nice to have: CI/CD and/or DevOps workflows and tools
AI fluency: ability to craft effective outcome-oriented prompts, iterate to improve quality and speed, and validate AI outputs against business context and expectations
