About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and maintain multi-step AI agents using Python and LLM APIs to automate research, qualification, routing, and decision-making
- Architect robust production agent systems with error handling, observability, and graceful degradation
- Build reusable agent frameworks, shared abstractions, tooling patterns, and integration modules
- Evaluate emerging agentic tooling and recommend when to build versus buy
- Build and maintain data pipelines connecting Salesforce, outbound tools, enrichment providers, and internal systems
- Engineer API integrations, webhook triggers, and event-based flows using Python, Make, and equivalent automation tooling
- Own schemas, data quality, and monitoring for the AI decision-making data layer
- Integrate deeply with Salesforce custom objects, flows, and automation
- Partner with GTM leadership to identify manual work suitable for intelligent automation
- Translate business problems into scoped agent systems with realistic timelines and trade-offs
- Build interfaces providing non-technical teams visibility into agent activity and output confidence
- Diagnose and resolve production failures to minimise disruption to selling time
- Set engineering standards covering version control, documentation, testing, and deployment hygiene
- Share frameworks, code, and learnings with the GTM Engineering team
- Provide roadmap feedback on automation performance, brittleness, and the role of human judgment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years in a technical role building production systems in a B2B SaaS environment
- Hands-on experience building multi-step AI agents using Python and LLM APIs such as Claude or OpenAI in production
- Strong Python engineering fundamentals; ability to build clean, maintainable, testable code
- Experience integrating APIs, webhooks, and event-driven flows using Make, n8n, Zapier, or equivalent automation tooling alongside custom Python solutions
- Salesforce proficiency at the configuration layer, including custom objects, flows, reporting, and data integrity logic
- Track record of translating ambiguous business problems into scoped, delivered technical solutions
- Strong system design instincts; ability to build observable and recoverable systems
- Experience designing agent frameworks or shared infrastructure patterns is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with Clay, Outreach, Gong, Apollo, and the GTM tooling landscape is a strong advantage
- Exposure to conversation intelligence platforms and using call data in automated workflows is a strong advantage
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS environment is a strong advantage
- Prior work on signal-based systems using hiring data, funding triggers, intent signals, or similar event streams is a strong advantage
- Must be based within commuting distance of a Perk hub
- English is the official office language; resume should be submitted in English
