About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own Perk’s US and UK media strategy and day-to-day PR activity
- Lead proactive pitching, newsjacking, reactive press office, and crisis communications
- Serve as primary contact for US and UK journalists
- Build and deepen relationships with Tier 1 outlets including WSJ, Bloomberg, the FT, CNBC, and Forbes
- Develop and maintain Perk’s corporate narrative with senior leadership
- Shape messaging on company growth, financial performance, AI innovation, and platform positioning
- Build C-suite media profiles through commentary, interview preparation, and proactive profiling
- Translate AI and technology innovation into accessible, newsworthy media stories
- Brief, manage, and hold US and UK PR agencies accountable to KPIs
- Build in-house PR capability alongside agency partnerships
- Integrate AI tools into media monitoring, drafting, research, and reporting
- Support the Director of Communications on corporate and financial priorities
- Collaborate with global teams and manage stakeholders across time zones
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in PR or corporate communications focused on the US and UK markets
- Deep existing relationships with Tier 1 US and UK financial and business press
- Proven track record securing earned digital and broadcast coverage
- Financial communications experience handling funding rounds, M&A, and business performance narratives
- Experience building compelling corporate narratives from complex positioning
- Experience working directly with senior leadership teams and preparing C-suite spokespeople
- Strong agency management background
- Strong background in B2B technology, fintech, or SaaS
- Sharp editorial judgment
- Strong writing skills for press releases, bylines, executive commentary, and media briefings
- Experience training media spokespeople and coaching C-suite executives
- Ability to use survey results, product analytics, and market research to shape narratives
- Commercial understanding of PR’s contribution to pipeline, brand salience, and competitive positioning
- Ability to incorporate AI into drafting, research, monitoring, and reporting workflows
- Ability to independently own a US and UK PR programme
- Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple stakeholders
- Data-driven approach using coverage data, share of voice, and inbound metrics
- Ability to work in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
- English is the official language at the office
