About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Perk’s US and UK media strategy and day-to-day PR activity
  • Lead proactive pitching, newsjacking, reactive press office and crisis communications
  • Serve as primary contact for US and UK journalists
  • Cultivate Tier 1 relationships with journalists at WSJ, Bloomberg, the FT, CNBC, Forbes and other outlets
  • Develop and maintain Perk’s corporate narrative around company growth, financial performance, AI innovation and platform positioning
  • Partner with C-suite executives to craft commentary, prepare spokespeople and build proactive media profiles
  • Translate AI and technology innovation into accessible, relevant and newsworthy stories
  • Brief, manage and hold US and UK PR agencies accountable to KPIs
  • Build in-house PR capability alongside agency partnerships
  • Integrate AI tools into media monitoring, drafting, research and reporting workflows
  • Support the Director of Communications on corporate and financial priorities
  • Use coverage data, share of voice and inbound metrics to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience in PR or corporate communications focused on the US and UK markets
  • Deep existing relationships with Tier 1 US and UK financial and business press
  • Proven track record securing earned digital and broadcast coverage
  • Financial communications experience handling funding rounds, M&A and business performance narratives
  • Experience building compelling corporate narratives from complex positioning
  • Experience working directly with senior leadership teams to craft commentary and prepare C-suite spokespeople
  • Strong agency management background
  • Strong background in B2B technology, fintech or SaaS
  • Sharp editorial judgement
  • Strong writing skills for press releases, bylines, executive commentary and media briefings
  • Experience as a media trainer and spokesperson coach for C-suite executives
  • Ability to work with survey results, product analytics and market research
  • Commercial understanding of PR’s contribution to pipeline, brand salience and competitive positioning
  • Experience using AI in PR workflows for drafting, research, monitoring and reporting
  • Ability to own a US and UK PR programme independently
  • Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Data-driven approach using coverage data, share of voice and inbound metrics
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
  • English is the official language at the office; resume should be submitted in English
