About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and oversee the acquisition of goods, services, and materials
  • Process and send Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for direct/indirect items and services
  • Coordinate supplier information, vendor setup, and onboarding paperwork
  • Expedite, receive, forward, and support evaluation of supplier quotes
  • Review, create, and place Purchase Orders for office supplies and operational needs
  • Assist Subcontract Managers with purchase orders and shipping/receiving
  • Submit purchase order communications and assist with reviewing confirmations
  • Expedite dedicated items and services
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and delivery note discrepancies
  • Utilize SAP and internal procedures for procurement activities
  • Support SAP activities across Purchasing and factory planning
  • Assist procurement, production planning, SAP, and other designated managers
  • Serve as backup for other Assistant Buyer functions and participate in production planning as a mentee
  • Participate in company safety initiatives, inspections, training, and policy compliance
  • Provide cross-functional support to EHS for compliance activities in Mexico
  • Manage weekly facility operational expense reports
  • Prepare and submit weekly productivity and production support cost reports
  • Travel as needed to jobsites

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or Associate’s degree in a related area of expertise
  • Ability to perform tasks using SAP and internal design/BOM programs
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment (Email, Fax, Scanner, etc.)
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Travel as needed to jobsites
  • Must apply and follow all safety policies and procedures
