About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, land acquisition documents, and transactional documents
  • Identify and resolve project and business risks creatively
  • Advise business units on legal risk and compliance for real estate initiatives
  • Provide legal advice related to land acquisitions and land development
  • Perform due diligence and prepare documents related to land acquisition and development transactions
  • Handle other land-related legal matters, including corporate document drafting and review
  • Monitor legal developments affecting the Company’s business
  • Review and/or prepare contracts, notices, and disclosures concerning home sales
  • Assist with monitoring and implementing the Company’s legislative and regulatory agenda and issues
  • Complete assignments under short notice and extreme time constraints
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school required
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Counsel experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Current, valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
