About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and services
  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established engineering standards
  • Assist in analyzing business and technical requirements to develop effective software solutions
  • Collaborate during sprint planning, code reviews, and design discussions
  • Investigate and resolve software defects and production issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for application functionality and support procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement involving code quality, automation, performance, and reliability
  • Learn Dark Matter products, platforms, development standards, and industry regulations
  • Deliver assigned development stories and defect fixes
  • Contribute to sprint commitments and team objectives
  • Build working relationships across Engineering, Product Management, and Quality Assurance teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0-3 years of software development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language
  • AI-First mentality when it comes to software development
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development fundamentals
  • Familiarity with source control systems such as Git
  • Knowledge of basic database concepts and SQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
  • Preferred: Experience with .NET/C#, ASP.NET, or related Microsoft technologies
  • Preferred: Experience with Angular
  • Preferred: Exposure to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services
  • Preferred: Familiarity with REST APIs and web services
  • Preferred: Enterprise Integration Experience
  • Preferred: Understanding of Agile development methodologies
