Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to achieve annual revenue, profitability, market share, and customer acquisition goals
  • Lead creation and implementation of annual business plans and growth strategies for SITECH technology solutions
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive threats, emerging technologies, and industry trends
  • Analyze territory performance, product mix, market penetration, and resource utilization
  • Build relationships with key customers, industry leaders, manufacturers, and strategic partners
  • Develop customer engagement strategies and determine executive involvement in strategic account management
  • Manage, develop, and mentor the SITECH sales team
  • Lead the sales team in achieving market share, profitability, and inventory turn objectives
  • Hold sales personnel accountable for business plan execution, customer acquisition, revenue growth, and sales performance
  • Foster accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Design, manage, and administer sales compensation and commission programs with Human Resources
  • Partner with OEMs and technology providers on growth initiatives
  • Negotiate special pricing, terms, and programs with manufacturer representatives
  • Provide forecasts for sales, rentals, and inventory requirements
  • Maintain full P&L responsibility for the SITECH sales department
  • Manage departmental expenses and operating costs
  • Oversee inventory assets, inventory turns, and ROA performance
  • Partner with Credit and Finance to accelerate funding and optimize Accounts Receivable performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and operational standards
  • Align with Peterson's Earthmoving sales leadership across sales and rental operations
  • Support initiatives improving customer experience, operational efficiency, and market penetration
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Travel to SITECH, Peterson, customer, and vendor locations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or another closely related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of directly related sales experience in the construction technology industry for earthmoving heavy equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years leading and developing high-performance sales teams
  • Experience managing departments with significant revenue and profitability responsibility, with a proven track record of strategic business growth and year-over-year revenue expansion
  • Experience developing and executing annual business plans and sales strategies
  • Preferred experience with construction technology solutions such as GNSS positioning systems, machine control technologies, reality capture solutions, surveying and positioning technologies, and digital construction workflows
  • Preferred experience working with marine construction contractors and projects
  • Preferred experience working with major OEMs and technology manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Trimble, or similar organizations
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Drug screen and background check required
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
