About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Pfizer Cardiac Rare Disease Sales efforts within the assigned United States area
- Shape and execute sales strategies for Vyndamax per approved indications
- Report to the US Rare Cardiac Regional Business Director
- Supervise and lead 8–9 Rare Disease Rare Cardiac Senior Health & Science Specialists
- Hire, coach, develop talent, and manage performance of direct reports
- Coordinate adequate training programs with the Sales training team
- Create a high-performing organization through talent planning and career development
- Partner with marketing, Brand Marketing, Planning, Operations, and other HQ teams to shape strategies and initiatives
- Develop Area business objectives, performance metrics, and integrated compliant business plans
- Ensure sales forecasts and operational budgets are achieved
- Support implementation of the sales representative incentive compensation structure
- Build networks of physicians and industry contacts
- Coordinate account engagement and internal resources across the Area geography
- Lead implementation of the Area business plan and coach team members across multiple geographies
- Maintain technical expertise regarding products, policies, and business issues
- Monitor market and customer trends and coach brand messaging
- Develop and execute local market and account strategies
- Analyze data to identify market trends and accelerate business performance
- Represent the Area business at quarterly business reviews and manage assigned action items
- Promote collaboration, innovation, compliant selling activities, and Pfizer's standards of business conduct
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years of specialty pharmaceutical commercial experience, including sales leadership
- Rare Disease and/or Specialty Cardiovascular experience and expertise strongly preferred
- Minimum 3 years successful District/Area/Regional Manager experience preferred
- Product launch experience preferred
- Hospital Sales experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute flawlessly to deliver results
- Demonstrated ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate, and monitor the execution of business plans
- Strong track record of collaborative and motivational leadership and internal stakeholder management skills
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future
