About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Pfizer Cardiac Rare Disease sales efforts within the assigned United States area
  • Shape and execute sales strategies for Vyndamax per approved indications
  • Report to the US Rare Cardiac Regional Business Director
  • Supervise and lead 8–9 Rare Cardiac Senior Health & Science Specialists/field representatives
  • Hire, coach, develop talent, and manage performance
  • Coordinate adequate training programs with the Sales training team
  • Create a high-performing, change-agile organization through talent planning and career development
  • Partner with Marketing, Brand Marketing, Planning, Strategy & Operations, and HQ teams on customer and brand strategies
  • Develop area business objectives, performance metrics, and integrated compliant business plans
  • Ensure sales forecasts and operational budgets are achieved
  • Support implementation of sales representative incentive compensation structures
  • Build physician and industry contact networks to improve sales leads and successes
  • Manage customer engagement, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination across the area geography
  • Maintain technical and market expertise to answer customer and representative questions and coach brand messaging
  • Monitor area business performance at local-market and account levels and accelerate performance
  • Develop and execute local-market and account strategies
  • Analyze data to identify market trends
  • Represent the area business in quarterly business reviews and manage assigned action items
  • Share insights, risks, issues, opportunities, and best practices in team meetings
  • Build a culture of trust, collaboration, innovation, and candid feedback
  • Ensure compliant use of promotional materials and successful selling activities
  • Comply with Pfizer corporate policies and standards of business conduct
  • Extensive travel required in the specific area
  • Regular in-field observation and coaching of field representatives; frequent customer contact expected

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of specialty pharmaceutical commercial experience, including sales leadership
  • Rare Disease and/or Specialty Cardiovascular experience and expertise strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years successful District/Area/Regional Manager experience preferred
  • Product launch experience preferred
  • Hospital Sales experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute flawlessly to deliver results
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate, and monitor business plans
  • Strong track record of collaborative and motivational leadership and internal stakeholder management skills
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
