About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide timely and accurate costing information for analysis, review, and insights contributing to company performance
Provide product costs for internal and external customers
Update and maintain finished product and component costs in SAP
Work closely with the Finance Manager on production variance reporting for senior management and corporate reporting requirements
Complete the Annual Standard Costing and Plan process
Calculate standards for new products introduced throughout the year
Provide Latest Best Estimates (LEs) for production variances, including MUV and PPV
Analyze Direct Labor, monthly full-time, fixed-term and casual employees, and WIP
Prepare Plan/Latest Best Estimates versus Actual Production Throughput and Variance Forecasts
Perform overhead recovery analysis by molecule and production stage
Provide weekly plan versus actual monthly output reporting and analysis by SKU and molecule
Provide data relating to WIP, MDFs, and manufacturing variances
Perform ad-hoc costing analysis duties
Provide monthly and YTD analysis and reporting of Material Usage and Purchase Price Variance (MUV and PPV)
Serve as backup to support month-end preparation, including headcount reporting, RIDS, and inventory reserve

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience and knowledge sufficient to provide costing information, product costs, production variance reporting, standard costing, and latest best estimates
Experience with SAP for maintaining finished product and component costs
Experience analyzing Direct Labor, full-time, fixed-term and casual employees, and WIP
Experience with production throughput and variance forecasts
Experience with overhead recovery analysis by molecule and production stage
Experience with reporting and analysis by SKU and molecule
Experience with WIP, MDFs, manufacturing variances, Material Usage Variance (MUV), and Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
Experience supporting month-end activities including headcount reporting, RIDS, and inventory reserve
Ability to work with Finance Manager, Senior Management, and Corporate reporting requirements
