About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and lead 6-10 representatives within the assigned area
- Oversee hiring, live and virtual coaching, representative development, performance management, and priority account assignments
- Develop and implement strategic plans, district business plans, and district budgets
- Plan, organize, and monitor district and regional business performance
- Ensure effective utilization and field implementation of promotional and marketing plans
- Analyze data proactively to identify market trends
- Identify, motivate, and develop key account opportunities affecting regional and national business
- Build relationships with customers, KOLs, key stakeholders, channel partners, and cross-functional teams
- Develop external advocates and contribute to advocacy and community engagement
- Ensure compliant execution and adherence to policies, processes, and integrity standards
- Coach representatives on cross-functional customer engagement and digital tools
- Plan and conduct meetings with district management, channel partners, and cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with Marketing on strategies, business imperatives, objectives, and the annual operating plan
- Lead cross-functional partnerships to meet patient service needs and support face-to-face selling
- Maintain product, portfolio, disease-state, and market knowledge
- Operate digital and virtual tools and leverage analytics such as 360-degree customer insights
- Conduct virtual engagement using structured agendas, follow-ups, and advanced communication skills
- Manage time and engagement across face-to-face and virtual interactions in a hybrid environment
- Coach and counsel representatives on selling skills, product knowledge, capabilities, and business planning
- Maintain visibility into individual sales representative planning
- Implement and uphold district standards
- Apply situational leadership and multimodal coaching methods
- Build team culture, engagement, morale, feedback, and continuous improvement
- Set team goals and hold team members accountable for performance, compliance, technology use, and virtual engagement objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required
- At least 3-5 years spent in a position with demonstrated leadership across peer and customer groups
- Previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience preferred
- Experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred
- Travel as needed to develop internal and external relationships
- Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards
- Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and business impact
- MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- 5 or more years people management experience preferred
- Ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change, and deliver on Pfizer business imperatives
- Specialty experience and expertise strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and reinforce team expertise on a broader portfolio of content
