About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and lead 6-10 representatives within the assigned area
- Oversee district hiring, live and virtual coaching, representative development, performance management, and priority account assignments
- Develop and implement district strategic plans, business plans, and budgets
- Plan, organize, and monitor district and regional business performance
- Ensure effective utilization and field implementation of promotional and marketing materials
- Analyze data proactively to identify market trends
- Identify and develop key account opportunities affecting regional and national business
- Build relationships with customers, KOLs, key stakeholders, channel partners, and cross-functional teams
- Develop external advocates and contribute to advocacy and community engagement
- Ensure compliant execution and adherence to integrity, compliance policies, and district standards
- Coach representatives on cross-functional collaboration, digital tools, hybrid selling, and customer engagement
- Plan and conduct action plans and meetings with district management, channel partners, and cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with marketing on strategies, business imperatives, and objectives during the operating plan process
- Lead cross-functional partnerships to meet patient-service needs
- Maintain advanced product, portfolio, disease-state, and market knowledge
- Operate digital and virtual tools and leverage customer analytics insights
- Coach and counsel representatives on selling skills, product knowledge, capabilities, and business planning
- Maintain visibility into individual sales representative planning
- Build team culture, engagement, morale, feedback, accountability, and continuous improvement in a hybrid environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required
- At least 3-5 years spent in a position with demonstrated leadership across peer and customer groups
- Previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience preferred
- Experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred
- Travel as needed to develop internal and external relationships
- Valid US driver's license and driving record in compliance with company standards
- Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide colleagues' work
- MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- 5 or more years people management experience preferred
- Specialty experience and expertise strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and reinforce team expertise on broader portfolio content
