About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Craft strategy and design patient services across the entire patient journey
- Develop comprehensive program strategies and service models at the asset and therapeutic-area level
- Serve as the PPS subject matter expert for Specialty Care product teams
- Lead development, execution, and operationalization of patient support programs and services
- Ensure patient services meet patient and healthcare-provider needs and align with product launch strategies
- Create and implement tools that improve quality and efficiency for launch preparation and brand growth
- Monitor and audit program launches for quality standards
- Track brand needs, strategies, trends, and the external healthcare landscape
- Evaluate and manage cost-effective vendor solutions that reduce cost barriers
- Optimize brand-level PPS expenditures and develop affordability strategies
- Set strategic direction for Hub services, including vendor selection, service design, and performance monitoring
- Provide strategic oversight of Hub operations and provider-facing support infrastructure
- Surface patient-access journey insights to brand leadership
- Manage cases with Hub and A&R teams to address patient and customer barriers
- Partner with Channel Management to create a frictionless Hub and SPP experience
- Identify and partner with best-in-class vendors, including AI-powered prior-authorization capabilities
- Shape fulfillment options around willingness to pay and reimbursement dynamics
- Enhance the patient experience throughout the Pfizer journey, including consent management
- Ensure program design reflects prescribing and dispensing trends
- Monitor competitor programs and payer trends affecting access and adherence
- Integrate PPS leadership strategies into marketing and planning documents
- Build cross-functional relationships and lead or co-lead periodic business reviews
- Design compliant programs aligned with legal, regulatory, and Pfizer standards
- Leverage data and analytics to improve all stages of the post-prescription patient journey
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of experience; OR master's degree with at least 7+ years of experience; OR PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Over 8 years of experience in biopharma patient services strategy or related fields
- Strong strategic planning mindset and financial skills
- Expertise in cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to personal growth and collaboration
- Experience working with vendors such as prior authorization support vendors and patient services partners
- Experience advising brand teams on patient support strategy as part of product launch planning
- Knowledge of how patient services programs promote access and adherence in the therapeutic area
- Strong analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to travel based on business needs
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
