About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a team of 4–6 Project Managers
  • Build team capabilities for digital/AI implementation across BPS
  • Provide project management, integrated planning, and resource forecasting to BTxPS development teams
  • Work with the PharmSci Team Lead and cross-functional team to deliver program outcomes within forecasted timelines and budgets
  • Participate in project team meetings and gather input from PharmSci Science & Technology lines to ensure accurate internal FTE and external forecasts
  • Partner with Finance on quarterly forecast updates and annual operating plan/budget development
  • Track purchase orders and accruals to maintain forecast accuracy
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality project plans and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Propose, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive the BPS digital strategy in support of portfolios and projects
  • Support enterprise digital strategy and enablement beyond BTxPS
  • Serve as proof of concept for the Digital TT team
  • Build and design AI-enabled capabilities, including tools, systems, and workflows for productivity, automation, and real-time data access
  • Serve as Business System Owner for custom portfolio systems, overseeing maintenance, user interface design, back-end data structures, and continuous improvement
  • Support programs across Oncology, Inflammation and Immunology, and Internal Medicine through pre-clinical, clinical, and commercialization phases
  • Travel occasionally on an ad-hoc basis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. with 10+ years of experience or M.S./MBA degree with 8+ years of experience in scientific or engineering discipline
  • Ability to establish, develop and lead strong working relationships within a matrix organization and team-based environment
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to tell a story
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to convert large and complex datasets into charts, graphs, and slides, with explanation / insights clearly articulated
  • Experience with data reporting and visualization tools and platforms, such as Business Objects, Spotfire, Tableau, and/or PowerBI
  • Knowledge and experience building new solutions using contemporary AI platforms and tools (e.g. configuring Snowflake semantic layers for AI/LLM queries)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external digital/technical teams to deliver new solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work products and communications
  • Able to work under tight timelines, multi-task, and prioritize one's work to meet key deadlines
  • Direct work experience in Pharmaceutical Development / CMC within a large pharmaceutical company, small biotech, or CDMO (preferred)
  • Experience as business system owner for a custom application and management of system releases working with digital/technical teams (preferred)
  • Experience working within an enterprise project management tool/system, such as Planisware or equivalent (preferred)
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide colleagues (preferred)
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States is required
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
