About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a forward-deployed pod of engineers and product owners creating quick, high-quality applications supporting ELT and ELT-1 initiatives
- Drive delivery of critical technical initiatives and establish engineering delivery practices
- Serve as technical authority on high-stakes projects
- Develop technical leaders and shape engineering talent strategy
- Build high-performing engineering teams
- Shape technology-driven strategy and represent the technical perspective at executive level
- Design AI-augmented engineering workflows and evaluate AI tools
- Train engineers on effective and responsible AI usage
- Establish SLOs/SLIs, build resilient systems, and lead reliability initiatives
- Mentor engineers on reliability practices and drive reliability culture
- Establish documentation standards and knowledge management systems
- Drive process efficiency, coordinate cross-functional technical work, and lead retrospectives
- Present complex technical solutions to senior leadership and executive audiences
- Lead guild events and participate in the mentorship program
- Define organization-wide technical strategy and architectural direction
- Identify recurring patterns and lead validated solution generalization into enterprise capabilities
- Maintain external industry visibility and shape organizational practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred, with at least 8 years of experience; OR master's degree with at least 7 years of experience; OR PhD with 5+ years of experience
- Demonstrated track record of personally creating applications actively used with senior leadership (ELT / ELT-1)
- Ability to present complex technical solutions to executive audiences
- Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers
- Ability to develop and coach others
- Ability to oversee and guide colleagues' work to achieve meaningful outcomes and business impact
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
- 25% required travel
