About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set the vision and lead Pfizer’s organic social engagement strategy across branded and unbranded platform handles
- Translate business, brand, and audience priorities into platform-native content and programs
- Build and maintain quarterly and monthly channel editorial calendars aligned to campaigns, corporate moments, and product needs
- Establish and improve operating models, governance, resourcing, and agency models for channel management, content, community engagement, issues response, and measurement
- Govern response guidelines and escalation paths and oversee moderation vendors
- Set listening, triage, and response standards; oversee sentiment tracking and topic tagging
- Ensure Medical/Legal/Regulatory review and approval compliance, content expiration, renewal, and archiving
- Oversee end-to-end editorial and content operations from briefing through publishing, optimization, expiration, and archiving
- Coordinate influencer and partner content, taxonomy, job-code tracking, and preview/QA workflows
- Drive test-and-learns across formats and platform features and incorporate findings into playbooks
- Define measurement frameworks and KPIs; publish monthly readouts and quarterly deep dives
- Partner with Paid Media on organic/paid flighting, attribution, dashboards, and performance hygiene
- Serve as senior social engagement leader across Product Communications and convene cross-functional stakeholders
- Represent Product Communications in enterprise social councils and audience insights forums
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of social media engagement experts
- Translate portfolio and enterprise priorities into team objectives, resource plans, and workload decisions
- Provide strategic counsel and quality oversight on strategy, content, community engagement, measurement, and issues management
- Manage agency and vendor partners, including scopes of work, budgets, performance expectations, and integration
- Build succession, capability, and skills plans for evolving platforms, audience behavior, technology, and regulatory expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years in social media, community management, communications, or a related field
- Significant experience leading complex programs and teams
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record setting social strategy, building brand communities, and leading editorial and engagement operations at scale
- Fluency with enterprise social tools such as Sprinklr, listening/monitoring, and analytics
- Deep familiarity with medical/legal/regulatory review processes and content life-cycle management
- Excellent written, oral, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and measure success
- Ability to work effectively across functions and levels in a highly matrixed organization and manage multiple projects against tight deadlines
- Ability to work closely with Pfizer leaders, demonstrating poise and executive presence
- Demonstrated people leadership, including recruiting, coaching, developing, and motivating social media engagement experts
- Strong independent judgment, accountability, and ability to lead through ambiguity
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes
- Willingness to travel up to 10% within the USA
- Ability to physically go into a Pfizer office in line with company policy
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
