About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Pfizer’s organic social engagement strategy, governance, execution, and performance across the business
- Oversee Pfizer-branded social media handles and unbranded Pfizer for All platform handles
- Lead and develop a team of social media engagement experts
- Set priorities, clarify roles, coach performance, and ensure high-quality delivery
- Build and maintain quarterly and monthly channel-by-channel editorial calendars
- Integrate tagging/UTMs and paid-media alignment
- Establish and improve operating models, governance, resourcing, and agency models
- Govern response guidelines, escalation paths, listening, triage, and response standards
- Oversee sentiment tracking, topic tagging, review/approval compliance, content expiration, renewal, and archiving
- Oversee end-to-end editorial and content operations from briefing through publishing, optimization, expiration, and archiving
- Coordinate influencer and partner content, taxonomy, job-code tracking, and preview/QA workflows
- Drive test-and-learns across formats and platform features and incorporate learnings into playbooks
- Define measurement frameworks and KPIs and publish monthly readouts and quarterly deep dives
- Partner with Paid Media on organic/paid flighting, cross-channel attribution, dashboards, and performance hygiene
- Serve as senior social engagement leader across Product Communications and convene cross-functional stakeholders
- Represent Product Communications in enterprise social councils and audience insights forums
- Manage agency and vendor partners, scopes of work, budgets, and performance expectations
- Build succession, capability, and skills plans for the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years in social media, community management, communications, or a related field
- Significant experience leading complex programs and teams
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record setting social strategy, building brand communities, and leading editorial and engagement operations at scale
- Fluency with enterprise social tools such as Sprinklr, listening/monitoring, and analytics
- Strong stakeholder and agency management
- Deep familiarity with medical/legal/regulatory review processes and content life-cycle management
- Excellent written, oral, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and measure success
- Ability to work effectively across functions and levels in a highly matrixed organization and manage multiple projects against tight deadlines
- Ability to work closely with Pfizer leaders, demonstrating poise and executive presence
- Demonstrated people leadership, including recruiting, coaching, developing, and motivating high-performing social media engagement experts
- Strong independent judgment, accountability, and ability to lead through ambiguity
- Willingness to travel up to 10% within the USA
- Ability to physically go into a Pfizer office in line with company policy
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
