About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute territory and account call-routing schedules and business plans
  • Prioritize face-to-face customer interactions, supplemented by virtual engagement as appropriate
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with healthcare customers
  • Deliver targeted approved messaging to educate providers on branded and unbranded product value propositions
  • Close sales by asking customers to purchase Pfizer products
  • Engage customers within Pfizer compliance, regulatory, and company standards
  • Partner with Portfolio, Health System Directors, Trade, Customer Service, Contracting, Medical, and Inside Sales
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues
  • Deploy approved Pfizer resources such as product demonstrations, in-services, and contract discussions
  • Provide information on product availability, contract status, pricing, and wholesaler stocking
  • Plan and optimize daily activities using calendaring tools, leadership priorities, portfolio goals, territory insights, and customer schedules
  • Leverage digital tools and platforms for customer engagement and pre-call planning
  • Contribute insights to the development of approved product messaging and resources
  • Travel to all accounts and office locations within the assigned territory and stay overnight when necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of work experience OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales; pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device marketing; or aligned therapeutic-specific healthcare provider experience
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards
  • Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available
  • Preferred: 3–5 years of hospital or alternate-site sales experience, including generic injectables or adjacent markets
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of hospital sales dynamics, GPO contracting, and procurement
  • Preferred: Proven account and territory management skills with a track record of driving results through strategic planning and execution
  • Preferred: Strong business acumen and ability to use data to inform decisions and build compliant relationships
  • Preferred: Ability to operate in a matrixed, fast-changing environment using internal partners, digital tools, and hybrid selling platforms
