About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop market insights and understand influencers in Rare Disease therapeutic categories
- Manage Accounts and develop C-Suite, administrative and Rare Disease therapeutic service line leader relationships
- Develop and implement Account Plans for assigned Accounts
- Identify, develop and execute partnership opportunities between Pfizer and Accounts/Customers
- Collaborate with state, regional and district business leaders and cross-functional Pfizer specialists
- Segment and prioritize Accounts and identify key Customers
- Identify decision-making and influencing networks within Accounts and local health economies
- Maintain relationships with key Customer leaders, key opinion leaders and stakeholders
- Manage co-execution of Project Plans and hold Customer and Pfizer accountable for execution
- Manage prioritized Accounts to achieve business objectives
- Analyze local environments, Account businesses and Pfizer priorities to create Account plans
- Leverage Rare Disease value propositions to create mutually beneficial business opportunities
- Develop plans of action from stakeholder insights
- Facilitate understanding of local market and customer drivers
- Influence KAM efforts locally, regionally and nationally with cross-functional teams
- Share and scale proven practices across the region and nation
- Lead and support high-functioning cross-functional teams
- Serve as a local expert on healthcare reform and the evolving Account/Customer landscape
- Lead Rare Disease Account and strategic planning priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and lead pull-through activities
- Communicate short-, mid- and long-term Pfizer business opportunities to Key Accounts
- Provide regional marketing and strategy teams with local and Customer-specific insights
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required
- Management and/or Account Management experience strongly recommended
- 5-10 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience preferred
- At least three years spent in a promoted position and/or developmental role with demonstrated leadership across peer and manager groups
- Rare Disease and/or Specialty Cardiovascular experience and expertise strongly preferred
- Product launch experience preferred
- Prior team management preferred
- Candidate expected to live in geographic area of role
- Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare market and RD therapeutic category disease states
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with Key Accounts, C-Suite and KOLs
- Demonstrated account management and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize resources and develop business plans
- Account planning, data analytics and interpreting, strategic planning, critical and analytical thinking
- Execution and measurement of outcomes
- Relationship, stakeholder and value proposition management
- Persuasive oral and written communication and effective listening skills
- Networking and influencing without authority
- Commitment to compliance
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
