About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gather requirements with cross-functional teams and support successful delivery of ITOM solutions
Support the ITOM Product Owner with the product roadmap and release plans
Configure and implement ITOM processes and systems according to architect and senior team standards
Configure ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, CSDM, Event Management, and AIOps
Develop and configure out-of-box and custom patterns, Discovery Schedules, probes, sensors, and Event rules
Integrate ServiceNow ITOM modules with enterprise monitoring, alerting, and application management tools using plugins and APIs
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ITOM processes and systems
Develop and maintain technical documentation for ITOM solutions
Consume additional data sources into the CMDB
Support third-party software integrations with ServiceNow
Manage MID Servers
Help maintain IT-environment visibility, reduce event noise through correlation, implement proactive automation, and support predictive incident detection
Work on-site an average of 2.5 days per week or as needed by the business

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
4+ years of experience interfacing with or supporting IT application/infrastructure technologies
2+ years' proven experience with ServiceNow ITOM administration, configuration, development, integration, upgrade, and continuous improvement
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification in one or more ITOM disciplines
Proficient in Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, CSDM, Event Management, and AIOps
Applicants should be capable of working through a personal laptop computer or mobile device for extended periods
Must be legally eligible to work in the EU
For Ireland, must be legally eligible to work in Ireland
Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred
ITIL certified (Foundation v4 or v5) preferred
Experience writing, tuning, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL-based queries, functions, and procedures preferred
Must live within commuting distance of the assigned work location
Travel as required by the business, less than 5% domestic and/or international
