About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the US Medical Affairs Dermatology Lead
  • Plan and execute medical strategies and tactics for Pfizer’s dermatology franchise and expanding I&I / Specialty Care portfolio
  • Support marketed medicines, clinical-development compounds, pipeline medicines, and lifecycle management
  • Provide brand teams with customer and clinical insights to inform strategies on critical health issues
  • Develop scientifically based, clinically relevant resources and tools for medical communications and engagements
  • Build long-term relationships with professional organizations, patient societies, healthcare providers, and key opinion leaders
  • Educate HCPs and formulary decision-makers on benefit/risk profiles and safe, effective medicine use through presentations, pharmacoeconomic analyses, and outcomes evaluations
  • Identify provider, patient-care, and knowledge gaps and areas for quality-improvement interventions
  • Develop perspectives on the evolving clinical and healthcare landscape in Dermatology and aligned therapeutic areas
  • Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials for fair balance
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Organized Customer, Field Medical, HEOR, and internal stakeholders to drive US brand strategy
  • Plan and lead advisory boards, congress symposia, and congress planning
  • Lead publication planning, data-generation activities, and medical/scientific activities
  • Serve as a source of accurate scientific knowledge on clinical data, disease states, product labels, and competitive intelligence
  • Develop and maintain HCP engagement plans for HQ Medical Affairs
  • Support congresses, data interpretation, evidence dissemination, education, scientific publications, and scientific exchange
  • Support internal medical training curricula and Sales Training timelines
  • Develop training materials, deliver expert medical presentations, and support training modules
  • Partner with Medical Information colleagues on Medical Letters and updates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced degree and relevant experience in Dermatology, pharmaceutical industry, clinical/medical practice, or a combination of these (e.g., PhD or PharmD with 5+ years)
  • 7+ years of relevant experience with MBA/MS or 8+ years of relevant experience with BA/BS
  • Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including influencing and collaborating with peers, developing and coaching others, and overseeing and guiding colleagues' work
  • Ability to build relationships within and outside Pfizer
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Team-oriented approach
  • Preferred: Specialty training and board certification in Dermatology
  • Preferred: Clinical experience in Dermatology or Immunology
  • Preferred: Experience in Medical Affairs
  • Preferred: Experience or understanding of clinical trials and drug development
  • Preferred: Ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among stakeholders and build internal and external relationships
  • Preferred: Ability to prioritize multiple demands and lead in a matrix organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required
