About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and execute medical strategies and tactics for Pfizer’s dermatology franchise and expanding I&I / Specialty Care portfolio
- Support marketed medicines, compounds in clinical development, pipeline medicines, and life-cycle management
- Provide brand teams with customer and clinical insights to inform strategies
- Facilitate development of scientifically based, clinically relevant resources and tools for medical communications and engagements
- Develop long-term relationships with healthcare stakeholders, professional organizations, patient societies, healthcare providers, and key opinion leaders
- Educate healthcare providers and formulary decision-makers on benefit/risk profiles and safe, effective medicine use
- Conduct medical presentations, pharmaco-economic analyses, and outcomes evaluations
- Identify provider, patient-care, and knowledge gaps and areas for quality improvement
- Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials for fair balance
- Collaborate with Commercial, Organized Customer, Field Medical, HEOR, and internal stakeholders to drive US brand strategy
- Plan and lead advisory boards, congress-related symposia, and congress planning
- Lead publication planning, data generation, and medical/scientific activities
- Serve as a source of accurate scientific knowledge regarding clinical data, disease states, product labels, and competitive intelligence
- Develop and maintain HCP engagement plans for HQ Medical Affairs
- Support congresses, internal data interpretation, evidence dissemination, scientific publications, scientific exchange, and medical training
- Partner with marketing and training groups on sales-training timelines and expectations
- Develop training materials and modules and provide expert medical presentations
- Partner with Medical Information colleagues on Medical Letters and updates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree and relevant experience in Dermatology, pharmaceutical industry, clinical/medical practice, or combination of these (e.g., PhD or PharmD with 5+ years)
- Alternatively, 7+ years of relevant experience with MBA/MS or 8+ years of relevant experience with BA/BS
- Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including influencing and collaborating with peers, developing and coaching others, and overseeing and guiding colleagues' work
- Relevant experience in Dermatology, pharmaceutical industry, clinical/medical practice, or a combination
- Relationship builder within and outside of Pfizer
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Team-oriented approach
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
- Ability to travel up to 25%
