About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead methodological reviews and analysis of policy discussions for inline and pipeline vaccine assets
- Lead policy strategies for data generation plans, medical plans, tactical plans, and long-term forecasting for vaccine assets
- Oversee internal GRADEs and Evidence to Recommendations frameworks for the US
- Lead cross-functional vaccine policy strategy workstreams
- Serve as the primary Pfizer point of contact for CDC, ACIP, Vaccine Integrity Project, and medical societies including AAP, AAFP, ACOG, and IDSA
- Synchronize priorities, strategy, and cross-functional resources with the Global Vaccine Policy Lead
- Develop strategic and operational plans with the Vaccine Field Medical Policy Lead
- Anticipate and predict policy questions and conduct internal GRADE analyses and Evidence to Recommendations reviews
- Collaborate with asset leads on data generation plans and external engagements, including advisory boards
- Work with Global Access and Value teams on cost-effectiveness models and preference studies for ACIP and Evidence to Recommendations reviews
- Ensure US medical plans supporting ACIP policies are developed and executed
- Assist Chairs of cross-functional Medical Policy Strategy Teams and support clear cross-functional goals
- Support delivery of US cross-functional ACIP strategic plans, forecasts, and business development plans
- Support implementation of US strategic medical and tactical plans through a policy lens
- Ensure policy analysis and objectives for field medical presentations are developed for external customers
- Contribute to Business Development teams through systematic evidence reviews, GRADE analyses, and assessment of ACIP policy scenarios
Requirements
What you’ll need- MD required
- Minimum of 4 years professional experience
- Expertise in Vaccines with specific recent expertise in vaccine policy development, GRADE, Evidence to Recommendations Framework, the CDC ACIP, medical society vaccine guideline development, systematic reviews and evidence reviews
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide colleagues' work
- Ability to comprehend and communicate large amounts of scientific information clearly and concisely
- Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among stakeholders and build internal and external relationships
- Very strong strategic skills, including proactively identifying and addressing challenges
- Significant cross-functional team experience
- Expertise in vaccines and immunization programs with an established KOL network
- Knowledge of policy and environmental issues driving immunization
- Ability to review, evaluate, interpret, and present complex data to medical and non-medical audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including scientific writing skills
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
