About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead methodological reviews and analysis of vaccine policy discussions for assets discussed by CDC ACIP, VIP, medical societies, and other vaccine policy fora
  • Lead policy strategies for data generation plans, medical plans, tactical plans, and long-term forecasting for vaccine assets
  • Oversee internal GRADEs and Evidence to Recommendations frameworks for the U.S.
  • Lead cross-functional vaccine policy strategy workstreams
  • Serve as Pfizer point of contact for CDC, ACIP, Vaccine Integrity Project, and medical societies regarding vaccine policy
  • Synchronize priorities, strategy, and cross-functional resources with the Global Vaccine Policy Lead
  • Develop strategic and operational plans with the Vaccine Field Medical Policy Lead
  • Anticipate and predict policy questions and conduct internal GRADE analyses and EtRs
  • Collaborate with asset leads on data generation plans and external engagements, including advisory boards
  • Work with Global Access and Value teams on cost-effectiveness models and preference studies
  • Support development and execution of U.S. medical plans for obtaining and implementing ACIP policies
  • Assist Medical Policy Strategy Team chairs and establish cross-functional goals
  • Support U.S. cross-functional ACIP strategic plans, forecasts, and business development plans
  • Support U.S. strategic medical and tactical plan implementation with a policy lens
  • Provide policy analysis and objectives for field medical presentations
  • Contribute to business development valuation and assessment of ACIP policy scenarios using systematic evidence review and GRADE analysis techniques
  • Report to the U.S. Medical Affairs Internal and External Policy Group Lead

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • PharmD/PhD with minimum of 5 years experience; or Masters with 7+ years; or Bachelors with 8+ years
  • Expertise in vaccines, including recent expertise in vaccine policy development, GRADE, Evidence to Recommendations Framework, CDC ACIP, medical society vaccine guideline development, systematic reviews and evidence reviews
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, coaching, and ability to oversee colleagues
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate large amounts of scientific information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to facilitate stakeholder discussion and debate and build internal and external relationships
  • Strong strategic skills, creativity, and proactive problem-solving
  • Significant cross-functional team experience
  • Expertise in vaccines and immunization programs with an established KOL network
  • Knowledge of policy and environmental issues driving immunization
  • Ability to review, evaluate, interpret, and present complex data to medical and non-medical audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including scientific writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
