About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead global strategy and execution of digital finance solutions aligned with Pfizer's enterprise goals and finance transformation roadmap
- Partner with the CFO, finance leadership, Digital leaders, and senior stakeholders to define and implement standardized, scalable solutions
- Manage a global team of managers and foster a high-performance culture
- Drive adoption of global finance models and best practices across business units while balancing local requirements
- Own the digital finance application portfolio across SAP and non-SAP platforms, including Record-to-Report, Intercompany and Project Accounting, General Ledger, Plant Finance, Lease Accounting, Invoice-to-Cash, Invoice-to-Pay, and transactional tax
- Ensure system reliability, regulatory compliance including SOX and GDPR, and data integrity
- Lead financial planning and investment prioritization for the finance technology portfolio, including ROI targets
- Define and maintain operational efficiencies, controls, and governance for supported systems
- Anticipate transformational change and drive organizational adoption of evolving technology, processes, and operating models
- Manage technology implementation partners and system integrators, ensuring delivery quality, contract performance, and value realization
- Ensure application portfolio adherence to information security, data privacy, and controls requirements
- Provide solution guidance and monitor emerging technology trends and potential use cases
- Possible night and weekend work during project/program deployments
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS with at least 12 years of experience, or MBA/MS with at least 10 years, or PhD/JD with at least 7 years, or MD/DVM with at least 5 years
- Diverse leadership experience and ability to influence and collaborate with peers
- Ability to develop and coach others and oversee colleagues' work
- Experience in SAP and other global solutions
- Global cultural awareness and strong people management experience
- Proven track record in strategic planning and execution
- Strong technical and functional knowledge across finance applications and processes
- Preferred: Master's degree
- Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Background in Business Management preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing direct reports
- Experience using common AI tools, including ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, and understanding of responsible AI practices
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
