About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and direct supply chain management activities for multiple contract manufacturers, primarily in North America
  • Serve as the key relationship lead and primary point of contact for contract manufacturing partners
  • Lead matrixed teams across OPEX, GSC, Quality, GTEL, Finance, EHS, and other functions
  • Deploy, sustain, and enhance data- and analytics-driven operations management, performance measurement, and forecasting infrastructure
  • Coordinate cross-functional business alignment, resolve conflicts, and ensure progress
  • Drive efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes and plans to meet market demand and performance targets
  • Develop and execute tactical plans for continuous improvement of CMO shop floor performance across quality, EHS, sustainability, compliance, customer service, and product cost
  • Communicate across VSOT functions and global stakeholders across time zones
  • Collaborate with CMO senior leadership to resolve conflicts and escalate matters when appropriate
  • Track and report VSOT performance and address shortfalls in supply, cost, and quality
  • Manage CMO spend budget adherence
  • Lead periodic Business Review Meetings with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Review deviations affecting product supply
  • Manage product lifecycle projects, including budgets, schedules, and exceptions
  • Ensure customer commitments for product supply and quality are met or exceeded
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and strategic sourcing partners
  • Develop risk management strategies to assure supply
  • Facilitate cross-functional procurement, supplier selection, and decision-making
  • Lead continuous improvement of vendor utilization practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with EHS to ensure CMO compliance with regulations and Pfizer requirements
  • Champion innovation and use AI and digital capabilities to improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and related Pfizer policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 6+ years of experience; OR master's degree with at least 5+ years of experience; OR PhD with 1+ years of experience
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, stakeholders, and supporting functions within a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills in complex project environments
  • Initiative, strategic thinking, and creativity
  • Planning and organization skills within matrix teams
  • Experience developing and leading/co-leading complex projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract manufacturing models and/or familiarity with regional or global contracts and operations
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices in drug product manufacturing operations
  • Strategic and tactical supply chain experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of financial operations in a production environment
  • Must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available
