About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Clinical Study Team Leads, Participant Recruitment, GSSO roles and Clinical Leads to support predictable delivery of Pfizer’s portfolio
- Provide rapid, accurate and robust assessments of program and protocol feasibility, recruitment enrollment assumptions and site strategy plans
- Build evidence-driven study assumptions and country and site strategies, including proposed countries, sites, enrollment scenarios and protocol optimization strategies
- Support study team enrollment strategy through participant recruitment and assess future changes to the strategy
- Implement country and site intelligence processes and document changes throughout the study lifecycle
- Provide early feasibility assessments, initial enrollment timelines, potential country footprints, intelligence gathering and enrollment assumptions
- Introduce protocol optimization opportunities using real-world data, investigator insights, patient insights and protocol simulations
- Evolve country footprint, enrollment assumptions and site classification strategy as protocols develop
- Support investigator database construction and identify suitable sites and ideal site characteristics
- Lead country and site feasibility outreach, engagement and response reviews
- Analyze outreach results and evidence to recommend country and site strategies
- Provide site analytics, including patient volume modeling, clinical trial diversity analysis, competition and site overlap analysis
- Develop strategic scenarios to optimize site footprint and enrollment timelines using internal, external and regional data
- Partner with CD&O, RU and BU teams to improve study start-up and recruitment cycle-time metrics
- Deliver agreed KPIs for assigned protocols
- Promote continuous improvement and adoption of innovative clinical trial technologies
- Maintain relationships across platform lines, business/research units and enabling lines
- Maintain a portfolio-aligned living library of knowledge and recurring assessments of comparator studies and trial metrics
- Analyze program- and indication-level real-world data, standards of care, recruitment rates and disease prevalence
- Develop intelligence on preferred sites and evaluate overlapping sites within indications
- Analyze decentralized clinical trial applications and recommend appropriate strategies
- Evaluate early-stage portfolio assets and partner on internal/external data needs for emerging indications
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS / RN / MS and 7 years relevant experience, or PhD / MD and 3 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of drug development and thorough understanding of global country and site feasibility, clinical study start-up and business operations
- Experience in clinical research, including clinical trial conduct
- Knowledge of GCP
- Understanding of study/project management, monitoring, clinical and regulatory operations processes
- History of success in a customer service role with demonstration of meeting customer expectations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective presentation and facilitation skills
- Strategic planning, observation, analytical operational execution and problem-solving skills
- Strong business consultancy skills, including ability to persuade, negotiate and moderate conflict
- Ability to multitask under tight deadlines on several projects while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality work
- Ability to synthesize key messages across multiple data sets
- Experience in operations involving multinational clinical trials preferred
- Prior experience in global country and site feasibility preferred
- Ability to make complex decisions among multiple options amid competing priorities and ambiguity
- Ability to leverage long-term business strategy to prioritize activities and answer key business questions
- Oncology experience preferred
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
