About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Breast Cancer market research agenda and sequence studies to maximize business impact
  • Design and execute primary market research for brand and franchise decisions
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative methods to address priority business questions
  • Develop, commission, and contract research through preferred vendors
  • Synthesize research, analytics, field insights, and performance data into integrated recommendations
  • Use AI-enabled tools and emerging methods to accelerate and scale insight generation
  • Evaluate and verify AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reliability, and potential bias
  • Create and manage the market research budget with alliance counterparts
  • Partner with commercial stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and address key business questions
  • Deliver integrated insights and strategic recommendations supporting brand performance and long-term growth
  • Conduct business assessments, patient journey analyses, and scenario planning
  • Translate complex data into actionable narratives for senior stakeholders
  • Support long-term brand and franchise strategies through evidence-based insights
  • Partner with Forecasting, Performance Analytics, Data Science, Digital, and other cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners on learning plans and evolving business needs
  • Contribute to capability building through knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Support Breast Cancer patient-based demand forecasts and latest-estimate cycles
  • Contribute market research insights to forecast assumptions
  • Support forecast scenarios and risk/opportunity assessments
  • Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Access, and Global colleagues on brand opportunity and forecast assumptions
  • Ensure research and analytics comply with Pfizer guidelines, industry regulations, and legal requirements
  • Maintain research and forecast records for transparency and audit readiness
  • Ensure primary market research projects meet compliance and Corporate SOP obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, or equivalent) preferred
  • 6+ years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree
  • 3+ years of experience in market research, analytics, consulting, strategic planning, commercial excellence, or related fields
  • Demonstrated success solving complex business challenges through data-driven insights
  • Deep expertise in market research, analytics, and commercial insight generation
  • Experience designing and managing qualitative and quantitative research programs
  • Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development and commercialization process, as well as industry competitive dynamics
  • Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions and pharmaceutical industry guidelines
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled research and analytics tools, including synthetic personas and automated insight-generation platforms
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
