About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Breast Cancer market research agenda and sequence studies to maximize business impact
- Design and execute primary qualitative and quantitative market research
- Develop, commission, and contract research through preferred vendors
- Synthesize research, analytics, field insights, and performance data into integrated recommendations
- Use and evaluate AI-enabled tools and emerging methods for insight generation
- Create and manage the market research budget with alliance counterparts
- Partner with commercial stakeholders to identify and address key business questions
- Deliver integrated insights and strategic recommendations supporting brand performance and growth
- Conduct business assessments, patient journey analyses, and scenario planning
- Translate complex data into actionable narratives for senior stakeholders
- Support long-term brand and franchise strategies through evidence-based insights
- Collaborate with Forecasting, Performance Analytics, Data Science, Digital, Finance, Commercial, Access, and Global teams
- Support patient-based demand forecasts, latest-estimate cycles, forecast scenarios, and risk/opportunity assessments
- Ensure research and analytics comply with Pfizer guidelines, industry regulations, legal requirements, and Corporate SOP obligations
- Maintain detailed records of research and forecast assumptions for transparency and audit readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, or equivalent) preferred
- 6+ years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree
- 3+ years of experience in market research, analytics, consulting, strategic planning, commercial excellence, or related fields
- Demonstrated success solving complex business challenges through data-driven insights
- Deep expertise in market research, analytics, and commercial insight generation
- Experience designing and managing qualitative and quantitative research programs
- Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development and commercialization process, as well as industry competitive dynamics
- Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions and pharmaceutical industry guidelines
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools
- Familiarity with AI-enabled research and analytics tools, including synthetic personas and automated insight-generation platforms
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
