About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead primary qualitative and quantitative market research across Pfizer’s Oncology portfolio
- Identify and diagnose business questions, initiate and conduct research, and deliver actionable recommendations across asset lifecycles
- Develop presentations with clear storylines integrating new data and existing knowledge
- Present insights effectively to stakeholders
- Collaborate with Oncology Commercial Analytics partners to synthesize information and deliver comprehensive points of view
- Develop, commission, and contract complex research through preferred vendors
- Create and manage budgets for assigned activities
- Integrate AI tools into qualitative synthesis, transcript analysis, questionnaire and discussion-guide development, secondary-data triangulation, and reporting
- Pilot and scale AI-enabled research methods and share best practices
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reliability, and bias
- Ensure AI use complies with Pfizer responsible AI standards and data privacy requirements
- Assess emerging AI tools and vendor capabilities
- Execute brand and above-brand research plans aligned with portfolio goals
- Partner with Brand/Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Global Access and Value, and other cross-functional leaders
- Provide objective analysis of market opportunities, market dynamics, customer and stakeholder needs, and competitive activity
- Identify information gaps and coordinate efforts to address them
- Conduct research involving target product profiles, product market shares, syndicated databases, HCP segmentation, patient journeys, and payer insights
- Ensure compliance with Pfizer guidelines, industry regulations, and legal requirements
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and pharmacovigilance teams as needed
- Maintain detailed research records for transparency and audit readiness
- Report to the IIS – GU Franchise Lead
- Be onsite 2.5 days per week
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of professional experience with a BA/BS degree, or 5+ years with an MBA/MS degree
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required
- Experience and knowledge in quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
- Basic understanding of drug pharmaceutical development and commercialization process and industry competitive dynamics
- Strong project, budget and vendor management skills
- Ability to solve operational problems and manage multiple competing priorities under ambiguity and uncertainty
- Demonstrated success defining business information and insight needs and translating them to specific deliverables
- Understanding of biopharmaceutical commercial market data sources
- Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage analytic-process risks
- Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions and pharma industry guidelines
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Master’s degree preferred but not required
- Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals industry experience preferred
- Prior Oncology knowledge and experience preferred
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide colleagues’ work
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
