About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide therapeutic area and product expertise for vaccines across external medical stakeholders and initiatives in the assigned Northern Florida territory
- Plan and execute independent Medical strategy and engagement with external medical stakeholders
- Maintain knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer medicines
- Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and external medical stakeholder insights
- Contribute to Medical educational content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics
- Collaborate with headquarters Medical colleagues, Medical Information, and Field Medical colleagues
- Deliver live and virtual presentations, written communications, and telephone or virtual conversations
- Educate stakeholders on disease states, guideline-based care, clinical and economic impact, real-world data, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations
- Execute projects, collaborations, patient care projects, and non-interventional studies compliantly
- Serve as Medical lead for assigned stakeholders, develop and execute Medical account plans, and identify collaboration opportunities
- Engage healthcare organizations, advocacy groups, coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations
- Collaborate with internal Pfizer colleagues and HEOR on outcomes and data analysis needs
- Provide scientifically supported information in response to unsolicited medical requests
- Lead advisory boards with manager oversight
- Field inbound queries through established triage processes
- Support identification of clinical trial sites and under-represented patient populations
- Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process
- Cultivate research and therapeutic area expertise, including congress data and disease-state literature
- Provide asset leadership and communicate study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation
- Lead the territory and communicate with local Patient Advocacy Groups
- Serve on Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees
- Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical/professional associations and societies
- Mentor onboarding partners, advisory board leads, and study leads
- Participate in special projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- MD or DO Degree required
- 4+ years of relevant experience required
- Subject matter expertise in vaccines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict constructively
- Ability to manage significant project volume in a remote environment, prioritize, implement successfully, and exercise excellent judgment
- Ability to work within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team
- Change agility and adaptability to organizational change
- Clinical and technical skills
- Ability to rapidly adopt and utilize new digital technology and record medical interactions
- Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions preferred
- Previous Field Medical experience preferred
- Experience with health information technology used in the U.S. preferred
- Experience with optimization/customization of EHR platforms and developing EHR clinical solutions preferred
- Understanding of the U.S. healthcare business environment and emerging healthcare trends preferred
- Ability to regularly fly and travel 40–50% of the time
- Valid U.S. driver's license and driving record compliant with company standards
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- Permanent work authorization in the United States required
- U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
