About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and implementation of assigned Global/US category-led initiatives impacting Medical Affairs stakeholders and markets
  • Support Asset Medical Affairs Leads in aligning goals, priorities, and efforts across Medical Affairs categories, asset teams, and cross-functional partners
  • Develop future-looking visions, missions, strategic initiatives, and structures for co-creation and co-execution of medical plans
  • Support organizational and team-specific change management plans
  • Identify, share, and implement best practices while improving processes, systems, partnerships, alignment, and efficiency
  • Develop relationships with Finance, Contracts & Outsourcing, Compliance, and Operational Excellence colleagues
  • Drive creation and implementation of medical processes and SOPs
  • Coordinate standardization of approaches, processes, and SOPs across Operational Excellence teams
  • Support asset-specific governance committees and decision-making
  • Support Medical Affairs activities, advisory boards, medical congresses, project plans, program plans, and milestone tracking
  • Lead stakeholder and process coordination for launch planning with Launch Excellence teams
  • Drive agendas and facilitate Medical Team meetings; record and file minutes
  • Provide presentation development support for internal meetings
  • Develop and lead performance and activity metrics tracking with the Medical Impact and Outcomes team
  • Manage financial forecasting, accruals, budgets, resources, and spend tracking for assigned assets or Field Medical areas
  • Maintain financial data integrity and support contracting and project/financial tracking
  • Develop Asset and/or Field Medical Strategic and Operating Plans
  • Collaborate with Medical, Finance, Financial Systems, Portfolio on Demand, and cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required + 10+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry or related fields; Advanced degree (e.g., masters) highly preferred + 8+ years of experience; PharmD/PHD + 6+ years of experience
  • Prior experience working in a Medical Affairs organization is essential
  • Experience in Project Management and Business Operations
  • Understanding and adherence to Project Management methodologies
  • Demonstrated results creating and managing complex projects, including budgetary management and fiscal awareness
  • Ability to collaborate across Medical, Medical Information, Corporate Communications, Digital, and Commercial functions
  • Ability to manage resources, programs, and multiple projects
  • Strong communication, relationship building, decision-making, strategic thinking, business judgment, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a heavily matrix organization and manage projects with team members in multiple locations
  • Knowledge of Pfizer systems including POD, Ariba BOD, and EngagePlus
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Full knowledge and understanding of all relevant applicable SOPs
  • Proven track record implementing strategically important projects on time and within budget
  • Fluent and able to influence others in spoken and written English
  • Flexibility to travel 10% of the time, including potential international travel
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
