About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and own Pfizer's enterprise Learning & Development strategy
  • Lead the strategy, curriculum, and delivery model for leadership development from first-time people leaders to senior leaders
  • Identify enterprise and functional skill gaps and translate them into prioritized, scalable capability-building programs
  • Own AI Fluency as a direct reporting area and embed AI literacy and applied AI capability into learning pathways
  • Build and evolve learning strategies serving corporate, field-based, manufacturing, R&D, and commercial employee populations
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of L&D professionals
  • Own and manage the annual budget, vendors, and learning platforms
  • Partner with the Chief Talent Officer, business unit leaders, and executive team
  • Establish measurement frameworks and analytics connecting learning investment to business outcomes and capability growth
  • Evaluate and manage external partners, content providers, and technology platforms
  • Champion continuous learning and growth and position L&D as a strategic enabler
  • Track external trends in leadership development, adult learning, and AI-enabled learning technology

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 15+ years of progressive Learning & Development or Talent Management experience
  • Significant experience leading L&D within a large, global, complex organization
  • Experience building and scaling leadership development strategy and programs for multiple leadership levels, including senior executives
  • Experience designing and delivering capability-building programs that close measurable skill gaps and connect to business strategy and outcomes
  • Experience building learning strategies and content for diverse employee populations across multiple geographies
  • Direct experience with, or strong point of view on, AI fluency and integrating AI-enabled tools and capability building into enterprise learning strategy
  • Experience leading and developing large teams and managing significant budgets with strong operational and vendor management discipline
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills, including direct partnership with C-suite and senior business leaders
  • Data-driven approach to learning strategy and experience building measurement frameworks linking learning investment to business impact
  • Experience operating within large, complex organizations with diverse employee groups
  • Experience working in other Human Resources functions outside of L&D such as HR Generalist or Talent is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Exceptional communication and change management skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide colleagues
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States is required
