About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and engage in all phases of the executive search process, including business development, administration, candidate sourcing and recruitment, client communication, interview facilitation, agreement assistance, testimonials, and 90-day and 180-day follow-up
  • Continuously improve PGA ExecuSearch in collaboration with Career Services leadership
  • Evaluate and refine operational procedures for the Executive Search process
  • Build partnerships with Career Consultants, PGA Section staff, allied association leadership, golf clubs, golf operators, and national employers
  • Promote PGA Executive Search services and solutions for management-level hiring
  • Champion initiatives in facility staff development, board education, and advisory services
  • Design and deliver educational programming for PGA members, industry professionals, employers, and section staff
  • Attend and promote the PGA of America and PGA Professionals at industry functions and trade shows
  • Collaborate with the Education Department on coursework offerings and revisions using employer feedback
  • Promote effective communication and strategic alignment throughout MSO initiatives
  • Embody organizational shared values and help address cultural challenges and opportunities
  • Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment
  • Oversee the ExecuSearch budget and monitor results
  • No supervisory responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources, Professional Golf Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Five years of experience as a Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, General Manager, or other golf industry management experience, or a combination thereof
  • Five years’ team management experience
  • Extensive golf industry leadership experience with proven ability to develop industry relationships
  • Strong working knowledge of both PGA and CMAA education
  • Advanced PGA and CMAA certifications preferred
  • A PGA Member with a minimum of 5 years of PGA Membership preferred
  • Knowledge of the golf industry and/or golf facility operations, employment and/or recruiting
  • Knowledge of managing multiple priorities in a multi-functional work environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage professionals to achieve results
  • Customer service and/or sales skills
  • Thorough knowledge of administrative principles and procedures
  • Ability to lead various projects and programs
  • Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts
  • Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and ability to assess financial and strategic impacts
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others and gain cross-functional support
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
