About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and develop relationships with key C-suite executives and decision-makers
  • Identify, implement, and support business opportunities and strategies across group practices, hospital departments, community hospitals, and academic centers
  • Engage key decision-makers to understand needs, introduce pharma& service lines, and expand partnerships
  • Act as the voice of the customer and develop long-term partnerships across key accounts
  • Develop and execute strategies influencing stakeholders to adopt pharma& products
  • Develop C-suite, administrative, operational, and clinical champions in assigned accounts
  • Develop and facilitate business reviews with key decision-makers and administrative executives
  • Provide corporate leadership with marketplace feedback on customer trends, competitive updates, and industry issues
  • Advise accounts and internal partners on regulatory and process changes affecting account economics and product utilization
  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and leverage clinical expert relationships
  • Implement cross-functional business plans and business development strategies for targeted key accounts
  • Deliver business objectives and key metrics for assigned accounts
  • Bring customer insights into organizational business planning
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholder teams
  • Implement and manage assigned GPO contracts, programs, and services at account level within the assigned geography
  • Maintain knowledge of healthcare policy, reform, managed care, reimbursement trends, marketplace economics, and industry trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical (including biotech) experience
  • Pharmaceutical or Medical sales experience required
  • Oncology or rare disease experience preferred
  • Proven ability to develop strong professional relationships with senior executives, C-suite stakeholders, and key decision-makers within community oncology practices and specialty GPOs
  • Skilled at networking
  • Proven track record of success as a medical sales professional
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize/multi-task effectively
  • Experience translating group strategy into tactics and campaigns
  • Strong analytical, training, communication, and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of healthcare delivery consolidations and value-based oncology care
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and patient care needs from an oncology perspective
  • Ability to synthesize market data sources and communicate with GPO leaders
  • Comfort with clinical and complex information and ability to develop customer-driven insights
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Innovative, proactive, and strong analytical skills with excellent overall business acumen
  • Practical knowledge of healthcare markets and protocols
  • Interpersonal flexibility to interact with a broad range of personnel
  • Ability to travel 60% or greater, including weekdays, weeknights, and weekends
  • Overnight travel required
  • Able to sit for long periods at a desk and review large quantities of printed or online material
