About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with C-suite executives, Medical Directors, Practice Administrators, and other key decision-makers within Specialty GPOs, Health System GPOs, and large community oncology accounts
- Drive contract success, appropriate product use, account growth, and achievement of sales targets
- Lead GPO and key-account strategic collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Identify, segment, and prioritize engagements and build strategies for integrated networks
- Identify GPO capabilities, drivers, investments, and levels of control
- Identify synergies among GPOs, key accounts, and internal teams
- Identify GPO segment opportunities and communicate strategies to field leadership
- Develop relationships with IDNs, key accounts, hospital GPOs, and other hospital-segment contacts
- Assist with distribution, service, and direct customer agreements
- Partner with hospital GPO field teams regionally and nationally to drive sales
- Use selling techniques and marketing strategies to create and expand national demand for promoted brands
- Conduct corporate, account-specific, hospital-segment, and customer meetings
- Comply with OIG, Pharma, and corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Provide timely marketplace feedback on customer trends, treatment dynamics, and the competitive landscape
- Complete expense reports and other administrative reports accurately and promptly
- Attend training programs, conventions, customer meetings, and symposia
- Maintain current knowledge of oncology business and market trends
- Support internal and external customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 6 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or device experience
- Pharma, biotech, or device experience required
- 3 years’ successful and progressive experience working with Specialty GPO organizations, Managed Care Accounts, Sales, or related fields required
- Practical knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing including HCC regulations required
- Experience in GPO strategy
- Proven ability to develop professional relationships with senior-level executives, C-suite stakeholders, key influencers, and decision-makers
- Strong networking, analytical, training, communication, presentation, and business acumen skills
- Working knowledge of healthcare delivery consolidations and value-based oncology care
- Knowledge of emerging oncology trends and patient care needs
- Ability to synthesize market data and communicate insights effectively
- Comfort with clinical and complex information
- Ability to develop customer-driven insights and identify underlying strategic issues
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple projects, prioritize, and multitask
- Innovative, proactive, and flexible interpersonal approach
- Able to sit for long periods at a desk
- Able to read and review large quantities of printed or online material
- Degree or certification in Health Informatics or a related field preferred
- Oncology or rare disease experience preferred
- Marketing experience preferred
- Experience in Oncology preferred
