About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Accurately forecast demand to maximize customer service levels
Manage situations where the full demand cannot be met
Analyze sales history, APO recommendations, and AI-generated shortage forecasts
Incorporate sales, marketing, customer, Drug Shortage website, and IQVIA/CDH data into forecasts transferred to SAP
Share key information and changes that improve sales forecasts
Contribute to monthly Demand Reviews and support the monthly S&OP process
Document assumptions; provide forecast and scenario planning recommendations; support opportunity-to-forecast decisions; and manage risks
Measure portfolio forecast accuracy and bias; propose action plans when targets are not met
Oversee product allocation to protect customers during risks and exposure situations
Maintain and update the Drug Shortage website to keep Health Canada informed
Analyze historical sales, variances between sales, forecasts, and customer orders, as well as performance metrics
Plan and facilitate forecast review meetings with Sales and Marketing
Participate in the budgeting process with Sales, Marketing, and Finance
Actively participate in the S&OP process and develop action plans
Identify growth products with Marketing and Sales teams and maintain assumptions in the system
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory Affairs on shortage reports
Pursue continuous improvement and develop, implement, and maintain improvement processes
Serve as a super user for APO and IBP

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years of experience in sales forecasting, supply chain planning, product management, or related fields
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, marketing, science, engineering, finance, or a related field
Excellent knowledge of SAP and APO or a related system
Knowledge of IBP, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning is an asset
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to derive insights from data through PowerPoint presentations
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present results to senior leadership
Proven relationship management experience
Hands-on experience creating reports
Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
Experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry or a related field is an advantage
