About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own how key initiatives progress by maintaining the master view of milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and decision points.
  • Run the cadence that keeps initiative tracking current and honest.
  • Drive work forward across the Leadership Team without direct authority by pursuing commitments, surfacing slippage, and clearing cross-functional obstacles.
  • Represent the CEO and carry his intent into relevant decisions and work.
  • Prepare the CEO for Leadership Team meetings, Board sessions, investor conversations, and key external meetings.
  • Design and run the operating rhythm for Leadership Team meetings, quarterly reviews, and offsites.
  • Create agendas, pre-reads, captured decisions, and closed actions.
  • Use AI for synthesis, drafting, analysis, and tracking, and demonstrate modern operating practices.
  • Handle analyses, diligence support, competitive reviews, and other ad hoc CEO-level work.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five or more years of demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-workstream initiatives — the full arc, from framing through to completion.
  • A track record of influencing senior stakeholders without authority, and of holding executives to their commitments in a way that strengthens the relationship rather than straining it.
  • Direct experience working with, presenting to, or supporting C-suite leaders.
  • Real fluency with AI tools, and a conviction that they change how work gets done.
  • Meticulous attention to detail paired with a strong bias toward action.
  • Clear, concise writing, with the ability to produce executive- and Board-ready material.
  • Sound judgment and absolute discretion with confidential information.
  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong candidates often come from a top-tier strategy or management consulting firm, or from program leadership in a commercial pharmaceutical, biotech, or comparably regulated environment.
  • Experience in a small, publicly traded company is a plus, as is an advanced degree — but neither is required.
