About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage customer relationships through effective technical knowledge
- Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites
- Provide exceptional customer service and meet customer commitments and arrival times
- Understand customers’ business and competitive environment and generate service revenue
- Participate in the regional work team and improve team processes
- Identify training gaps and increase capability and capacity, including qualification in multiple modalities and learning new tools
- Complete timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders, preventive maintenance, installation documents, site/service documentation, and related paperwork
- Adhere to training, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Use tools, support, resources, and escalation processes to resolve customer and system problems
- Diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems
- Travel approximately 70% across the specified geography, with average driving time of 1–4 hours daily and occasional overnight, air, or train travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years of experience in a diagnostic imaging (field or hospital-based) service environment or 3+ years in electromechanical industries
- Preferred experience in Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging equipment
- Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment
- Knowledge and use of necessary tools and test equipment
- Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience
- BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred
- Ability to work in an office/home office and/or remote setting and in a hospital/healthcare environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations
- Ability to safely work with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- US work authorization required; candidates requiring current or future visa sponsorship will not be considered
- Must reside in or within commuting distance to Syracuse, NY
