About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review the existing production codebase for architecture, security, scalability, and reliability risks
Recommend pragmatic improvements before prioritizing major new feature development
Own features end-to-end from data modeling and architecture through deployment and customer release
Work across the full stack with a stronger backend focus
Develop and contribute to Vue.js frontend features
Improve platform design and visual quality
Use AI coding agents while maintaining correctness, reliability, and maintainability
Design, automate, and execute functional, regression, load, and smoke testing
Identify and communicate technical risks early
Design and evolve PostgreSQL data models and Prisma schemas
Work with integrations including Stripe Connect, LiveKit, Twilio, Zoom, Anthropic, and pgvector
Help manage and grow a Google Apps Script reporting layer
Test, debug, and ship features
Review pull requests and maintain a consistent engineering bar
Monitor production systems and participate in triage and incident resolution
Improve code reliability, maintainability, and performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

5-9+ years of software engineering experience
Strong production experience with Vue.js and PostgreSQL
Experience with Nuxt and Prisma is strongly preferred
Proven experience using AI coding agents on a production codebase
Proven systems architecture experience and influence on structural decisions in production systems
Strong testing expertise, including functional, regression, load, and smoke testing
Experience automating test suites
Ability to understand and work within an existing codebase before pursuing a rewrite or redesign
Extremely organized and self-sufficient
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements
Adaptability in a startup and high-growth environment
Proven experience owning entire features from concept through production deployment
Availability within at least 5-6 hours of an 8-5 or 9-6 MST schedule
