About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define the design vision and direction across the entire product portfolio
- Build, support, and grow a team of 8 designers
- Establish scalable standards, practices, and design systems
- Represent the strategic voice of design to the board, executive leadership team, and clients
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams on product strategy
- Lead the design of major strategic initiatives and new innovations
- Drive the integration of AI tools and processes into the design workflow
- Lead strategic design-related communications, including investor pitches, market positioning, and executive storytelling
- Solve complex B2B SaaS challenges and help the team overcome them
- Contribute to key decisions that influence business outcomes
- Establish a coaching culture with clear objectives and support for professional development
- Drive performance and manage team tensions and dynamics constructively
- Attract, develop, and retain talent
- Scale design output without increasing headcount
- Strengthen the impact of design on product strategy and business results
- Champion the voice of design in product decisions, board-level discussions, and competitive differentiation
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience leading design teams in a B2B SaaS environment or equivalent
- Professional proficiency in English is essential
- Hands-on proficiency with AI-powered design tools—not just theoretical knowledge
- Proven ability to mentor designers and build high-performing teams
- Experience defining design processes, systems, and standards at organizational scale
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- Comfortable combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Experience working on data-rich and/or personalization-focused products
- Proven experience improving the productivity and quality of a team under constraints
- Experience collaborating with executive leadership on product strategy and business outcomes
- Experience with agile development methodologies; SAFe experience is a strong plus
